  • STORIES OF CHANGE:

Mr. Somashekhar has been at Bapuji Home for the Aged for 8 years now. Born to Mr. Narasimhaiah and Ms. Siddagangamma, he is the youngest son. He studied up to Pre-University Course (PUC). His father was working in Hindustan Petroleum Ltd and he belonged to a lower middle class family.

Mr.Somashekhar was beaten up by his brothers and was fractured in leg, in a fight over the ancestral property. He left his house and with someone’s help was admitted to Helping Hands Hospital at Bannerghatta, Bangalore. Post discharge he did not want to go back to his home and was referred to our Home.

Here, he is provided with all the facilities of shelter, food, medical aid etc. After coming here, he feels very comfortable and socializes with other inmates. He also supports the fellow inmates when they require any help. He wishes to stay with us till his last breath and requested the staff and management to attend his last funeral as per his religious rights.
